Dedicated to Empowering Families
For parents of children with developmental needs, Kidsource understands that the best way to help is to provide families with the resources they need to allow their kids and the entire family to live their best life. We believe that Kidsource is more than a therapy provider, we believe we are partners with families and caregivers, and want to provide an environment that fosters growth and inclusion for everyone. We do this by living our core values daily, from the ownership team, administrative staff and all our therapists. When you become a part of the Kidsource family you agree to be a champion of our values as well!

Kidsource Therapy started with a vision, a provider number, and a filing cabinet in the trunk of a young woman's car. Now, Kidsource has been working to help children and families have a better quality of life for more than 20 years.
A few years before Penny Jester purchased Kidsource, she actually worked at Kidsource part-time, helping do evaluations and parent training while she finished graduate school. She eventually left her part-time position to pursue her career as an elementary school teacher.
When Penny looks at kids, she always thinks about what kind of person that child will grow up to be, what their potential is and how they can help the world be a better place. Penny thought being a teacher would be the perfect way to help kids develop and become their unique self.
Her thoughts about this soon changed. See, Penny was a rebel. She didn't like spending time on paperwork; she would rather spend her time helping the kids who were struggling. She realized by the third day at the chalkboard that kindergarten was too late. These kids had challenges at home and needed help much earlier, in a much bigger way.
This realization was the start of her journey to ultimately being the sole owner of Kidsource Therapy, where during that journey she met a young microbiology student named Corey Tinkle.
Corey was a microbiology student who likes being around people too much to be cooped up writing scholarly papers, especially since he does not like writing. After earning a masters and two bachelors degrees in science, he spent a few years in a basement lab at the VA with no glimpse of the sky, and will tell you he will never be in an environment like that again! After thinking through his career options, he realized he really wanted to work with people and to be in a happy and bright environment, and what would make him the happiest would be to work with kids, not microscopes.
So back to school he went to become a physical therapist. Which during his internship is where he met Penny. While Corey was working with kids, he had not quite found that joyful environment he was looking for. The walls were white and the atmosphere sterile. Corey had the idea to throw a coat of paint on the walls, to brighten it up a little, but the clinic said no.
So Corey kept his job, while also doing contract work for schools, and was searching for that perfect opportunity. Until one day he walked outside and saw a former co-worker. He even chased the big money dream, moving from the center to an adult rehab making the big bucks. He was chasing after his cherry red Corvette, which at the time was what he thought was his big dream that would make him happy. That dream lasted three months before he realized he couldn't stand it. He went back to the clinical white therapy room, where at least he was working with the kids. But like Penny, he realized to really help these kids, it would take the entire family is engaged. Bringing their kids to the center wasn't helping educate the entire family on the best way to help the kids.
So there they were, Penny and Corey, both working “grown-up” jobs, unsatisfied, knowing what they were doing wasn't their true vision: To educate and empower kids and their families to live their best life.
Jump forward to 1999, Penny and Corey took a huge leap of faith and started working together to build Kidsource into a partnership to help kids and families.
Now here we are, more than 20 years later, 7 locations, and 145 amazing therapists, all sharing the same vision as Penny and Corey.
